LOCAL MEN WOUNDED
RIFLEMAN C. LUESBY, OF GOSBERTON.
Mr. J. P. Luesby, of Gosberton, on Sunday received a visit from Pte. Arthur George, Queen’s Regiment (son of Mr. F. George, of Spalding), who informed him that his eldest  son, Rifleman Cyril Luesby, King’s Royal Rifles, had been wounded in France. The news came through on Sunday morning in letter from Corpl. S. Sharman, of Spalding, who is a son-in-law of Mr. F. George, the letter stating that he had heard that Rifleman Luesby was wounded and probably on his way to England, but had not been able to ascertain the nature of his wounds. The parents had not heard from their son for about a fortnight.
